The Sussex Linux User Group
Welcome to Sussex Linux User Group (SLUG). The group is here to support Linux enthusiasts in the East and West Sussex area, but you don't have to live in the area to belong to the group.
What the group does is basically talk about Linux and related topics. Also there have been the odd occasion when we have talked about politics, religion and all those other taboo subjects. These discussions occur in two formats. Once a month there is a SLUGMoot for those members that can get together to talk face to face, and share the odd beer too. The next moot is on Thursday 31 July.
If you can't make one of the moots, and many can't, then you can still find out what is going on by joing the mailing list. It is a free form list where no topic is taboo.
If you're interested in Linux and think that it is too technical for you then you then you might like to read Gavin's essay on his travels from Windows to Debian, he is one of our non-technical members, who now enjoys crash-free computing thanks to Linux.
